Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Hippodrome?
A Hippodrome was a place in Ancient Greek and Roman Times where Chariot Races were held. It is also a place where feats of strength and excellence were displayed, there was a Hippodrome at Mt. Olympus. In more modern times, a Hippodrome is known as a theater or showplace. We chose the name because it is synonymous with circus, and who doesn't want to grow up and join the circus?!
Is there an age limit or recommended age?
We do recommend that participants be at least 5 years old. Children under 5, must have a parent on the floor with them at all times.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing clothing that is appropriate for working out. Gym shorts, yoga pants, t shirt, tank tops are all good for activities in the gym. No crop tops, or "going shirtless". This applies to both male and female participants.
Baggy clothing is not recommended as it may catch on equipment.
Well fitting shoes, preferably sneakers that tie. No crocs, boots, sandals.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
Yes. All participants in classes/parties/open gym need to have a waiver on file signed by a parent/guardian. Without a signed waiver, I am sorry but you won't be able to participate. You can sign the waiver online and save time when you arrive!
